"Hi guys~," Lilian said as she sat down at Hayley's lunch table.
"Go away, we don't want you sitting with us anymore."
"Wha...w-why...?"
"We just don't. You're annoying, go away. Find some new friends," Hayley responded, and then turned back to eating her sandwich.

Lilian walked away, distraught, not knowing what to do.
She saw one of her old camp friends sitting with one of her friends alone at a table, and wandered towards them.
"Alright if I sit here?" She questioned, hoping they said yes.
Natalie, her friend, said, "Of course, pull up a chair!"
And she sat down, gladly. She was happy that she was still accepted somewhere, if not where she wanted to be the most. But she couldn't help but feel a knot in her stomach, wishing she could still be with Hayley...

A few months pass, and Lilian had gotten along well with Natalie, after not seeing her for a few years. They had their dislikes, but they were friends nonetheless.
Soon she began to forget all about Hayley.
One day, Hayley came up to Lilian and Natalie's lunch table.
"Hey, do you want to come back and sit with us? I miss you. I miss having you around, and I'm really sorry that I kicked you out of the table..."
Lilian was surprised. She didn't know what to do, she was torn between her old friends that accepted her no matter what, and the girl that she had only known for so long, who only pushed her away.
Natalie gave her a nudge. "Go sit with them it's where you want to be, right?"
Lilian shook her head. "No, it isn't." She turned to look at Hayley.
"I'm sorry, but I'm happy here. I don't want to go back to your table, I like this one better. Sorry."

Now it was Hayley's turn to walk away, upset and confused.
